来期(2017AW)は今までとは違う考え方でMAKEOVERラインの構想した。発売される時のサイズ感は決まっていなくて古着次第、入荷時期も古着が見つかるまで未定。古着や素材が見つからなければ、発売ができない可能性も高い。不安定な生産になってしまっても”作りたい”と思うようなものに絞って製作した。僕のものつくりには密接に古着が関係していて、古着を扱うからにはコンセプトをしっかりもって製作に挑みたいと考えている。2017awもミリタリーというコンセプトの中、古着を探す”出会い”の旅から始まっている。

The next term (2017 AW) conceived a line of MAKEOVER with a different way of thinking than before. The size feeling when it is released is not decided and it depends on old clothes. until the arrival time also remains undecided until old clothes are found. If clothing and materials are not found, there is a high possibility that we can not be sales. Even if it became unstable production, I made it focusing on something that I would like to make. VIntage clothes are closely related to my making cloings, and we want to challenge production firmly with the concept to handle old clothes. 2017aw also started with a trip of “encounter” looking for old clothes in the concept of military.

古着の”出会い”はどこで何があるかわからない。しかし、それが古着の楽しみ方でもある。だから買うものがない場所へも出向く。MAKEOVERのラインに限らず古着はインスピレーションの宝庫である。”アンティークの蚤の市”は色々な人の感覚でものが揃えられた、人の感覚が大いに反映されている場所。そんな場所はなかなかない。アメリカに行くときは必ず”蚤の市”には出向きます。ものつくりをするためには新しい”なにか”との出会いが必要。現代の”もの”よりも現代には出回っていない”もの”にヒントがあり、過去をしっかり把握した上で新しいものつくりにいかしたいと思っています。今回はその時の出会いを大切にMAKEOVERのアイテムを構成しようと思っていた。だから、偶然出会ったカリフォルニアの田舎町の小さなミリタリー倉庫でMAKEOVERの構想を立ててデザインを行った。

I do not know where and what “encounter” of old clothes is. However, it is also how to enjoy old clothes. So I will go to places I do not have anything to buy. Vintage clothing are not limited to the line of “MAKEOVER”, it is a treasure trove of inspiration. “Antique flea market” is a place where things are aligned with various people’s senses, a place where the sense of the person is reflected largely. Such a place is not easy. Whenever I go to the USA I will go to “flea market”. In order to make things, it is necessary to meet new “something”. There is a hint in “things” that are not circulating in modern times than in modern “things”, and we want to make a new one after grasping the past firmly. I was thinking of organizing items of “MAKEOVER” this time carefully for the encounter at that time. So I made a design with “MAKEOVER” at a small military warehouse in a rural town I came across by chance.

だれも入らないような一般立ち入り禁止の専用倉庫。求めいていた古着がたくさんあったわけではないけれど、日本で考えるよりもこの場所で考えたいと何日か通ってスタッフとも仲良くなり、いろいろ意見交換もしながらデザインを考えたので、少しいつもと違う気分で製作しました。2017AWはミリタリーというキーワードの中、”表と裏”ということも強く意識して、本来見えなかった部分にスポットを当てているアイテムが多いです。展示会が終わり、バイヤーの皆さんが気に入ってオーダーをたくさんくれたり、お客さんからどうしてもこれが欲しいと言われたりして、少しだけ後悔していますが(笑)、、、しかし現時点でも「BLACK LINER  WITH FOOTED」なんかは、たくさんオーダーもらっいて、現時点では全然古着の数がないため生産は絶望的。まだ期間はあるので少しでも生産ができるようにはしたいと思っていますが、納品や発売がなくても古着だと思ってご理解ください。

手に入るかわからない、自分に合うサイズがあるかわからない、買えるのかもわからない、だからこそ自分にあうものが見つかった時は、どこにでもあるものよりも数倍幸せな気持ちになれるはずです。そんな気持ちをこの「MAKEOVER」のラインから体験してもらえればと思っています。発売されるかどうかさえもわかりませんが、発売をお楽しみに！

A dedicated warehouse where general entry is prohibited such that no one enters. Although I did not have many old clothes I was sought for but I thought about designing at this place rather than thinking in Japan, I got along well with the staff and thought about design while exchanging opinions a lot, so I felt a little different from usual I made it. 2017 AW is a military keyword, there are a lot of items that are spotlighting on the part that was originally invisible, strongly aware that “front and back” is also. Although the buyers finished the exhibition, buyers liked and ordered a lot and ordered from customers that they really wanted this, but I regret a little bit (laugh) ,,, But at the moment “BLACK LINER WITH FOOTED “got a lot of orders, production is hopeless because there are not any old clothes at the moment. There is still a period so I would like to be able to produce even a little, but please understand thinking it is old clothes even if there is no delivery or sale.

Do not know if I can get it, I do not know if I have sizes fit for me, I do not know if I can buy it, so when I find something that meets myself I can be a few times more happy than anything. I think that such feelings would be experienced from this “MAKEOVER” line. I do not even know whether or not it will be released, but look forward to selling it!
