今回Varde77×VASCOからリリースされたレザージャケットは植物由来の物質であるタンニンを鞣し剤として用いるベジタブルタンニンレザーで時間と手間・コストがかかるなめし法で製作された。
通常レザージャケットに使われる革は化学薬品を使うクロムなめしが基本。ベジタブルタンニンはレザージャケットではなかなかリリースされない。その理由としては革が丈夫で硬いため少し扱いにくいことと、値段が高価なことがあげられる。
味が出やすいためバッグや財布などに使われることが多いが、あえてこのベジタブルタンニンレザーでジャケットを作ることで、経年変化をより楽しむことのできる最高のレザージャケットが完成した。
The leather jacket released from Varde 77 × VASCO this time was a vegetable tannin leather used as a tanning agent tannin which is a substance derived from vegetables and was produced with a tanning method that takes time, labor and cost.
Leather used for leather jackets is usually basic with chrome using chemicals. Vegetable tannins are not readily released in leather jackets. The reason is that leather is sturdy and hard so it is a little difficult to handle and the price is expensive.
Because it tastes easily, it is often used for bags and wallets, but by daringly making this jacket with this vegetable tannin leather, the best leather jacket which can enjoy more secular change is completed.
